But most people can slow themselves down, even though the binge demons are howling. It’s the type of like having someone call your name when you’re lost in thought and snap you out your daydream. Most of us lead hectic, fast-paced lives, so it’s understandable that people might make an effort to rush our foods. But eating quickly will us no mementos. When we eat quickly, we end up eating more than we need to, which leads to poor digestion, weight gain, and lower satisfaction from eating. Eating gradually, in contrast, makes for better digestive function, easier weight maintenance – and much higher satisfaction from our meals. Sit to consume in a calm environment with reduced interruptions down. Don’t eat while driving, while watching TV, while texting, etc. Pay attention to your meal.
